Do not use this company. 1 week late picking up then I had to pay $200 myself to move someplace else because sold home where it was and owners wanted it out!! Now 3 weeks later and still nothing! Can’t get any info. They move your things then sub out to other drivers and little communication after that. All I know is things in Dallas. Don’t ever use them. After the fact BBB in Philadelphia shows then with ‘F’ rating. Shame on me for trusting Dave Kimbrel and not double checking this moving company out further!

This is NOT a moving company. They will contact you the second you request a quote for your move to get you to book immediately and make you think other movers won't have availability. They'll tell you anything you want to hear to get you to book that day and to put down the deposit. Monarch booked my move with another company, which put all the liability and responsibility on them. Monarch told me the movers would deliver everything immediately following pick up, which did not happen. Once the movers came, they told me they could hold my belongings for up to 21 days even though Monarch had said they'd deliver that day. I was never informed I had to pay an extra 550 for "direct delivery," which would deliver my things 3-5 days from when I booked direct delivery. It took 6 days of constant calling to even get on the schedule for delivery. Overall, the drastic miscommunication on Monarch's part cost me about 1300 extra. Monarch is a horrible service - do more research ahead of time and do not involve any broker in your move.

DO NOT BOOK WITH MONARCH!!! Horrible experience, extremely stressful. They seem very legitimate, but DO NOT BE FOOLED! The moving companies they contract with are scammers. Monarch is a broker that contracts your move to a moving company. Monarch is completely unhelpful and a useless middle man that will prevent you from directly evaluating the movers you get. Booking with Monarch makes it easier for movers to scam you because the movers blame Monarch for messing up the estimate. The movers do not honor Monarch’s estimate, saying the “estimate is meaningless.” The movers they set me up with, Stop and Move, overcharged me by $450 and forced me to pay a $300 tip (threatening to charge me another $800 if I didn’t give the tip). They harassed me throughout the move for being reluctant to pay the extra charges. They would not let me see the loaded truck before signing the contract, saying that they were giving me a “deal” by charging me less than my total cubic feet, but if I saw the truck loaded, they would charge me the “full amount.” When I ultimately saw the loaded truck, my 250 cubic feet of items (which I later measured to be absolutely certain of the size) had somehow expanded to hit the 650 cubic feet mark on the truck. I assume they packed filler behind my items to make them hit a higher marker. I called Monarch for help at least 10 times during my move and they never answered the phone. When I complained to the customer service rep Jordan about the higher price, he said that there was nothing they could do since I signed a new contract with the movers. They refused to refund my deposit, which would have covered the extra amount I had to pay. Monarch did absolutely nothing helpful during the entire process. They are only helpful until they get your deposit. Monarch is really good at selling you on their business and seeming like they provide good customer service. Don’t buy it. Kevin’s sales pitch (Monarch’s salesman): -Says not to trust online reviews (Google, Yelp) because they can be put up by anyone who may not be a real customer. Even says that some of the positive reviews are his own family and friends. -Sends you the link for the DOT FMCSA website which only showed 1 complaint (now 4) for Monarch and asks you to compare to other companies that have many more. (It seems like they have been in business only a few months, which might be why they don’t have more complaints). -Says that they only work with reputable movers and that the movers want to do a good job to keep getting business from Monarch (not true, the movers they sent me have a ton of complaints and scammed me) -Says you will not pay any more than the estimate (not true) -Takes the time to answer your questions and gives very reassuring responses (regardless of whether or not his answers are true) DO NOT TRUST MONARCH. They are a useless middle man and set me up with a scamming company. And the stuff I mentioned is only the major things. Other things that went wrong: Monarch scheduled the movers for the wrong day, movers did a terrible job of wrapping the furniture and several items were broken/scraped, movers broke my desk before they even got it into the truck, movers didn’t give me any of the paperwork on pickup, movers charged me an extra $350 for a shuttle truck for delivery even though the 18-wheeler could have easily fit on the street as evidenced by the furniture delivery my roommate got the following week. Based on the obvious scam practices of the movers, I was terrified my belongings would never arrive. Overall, this move cost me an extra $1100 and A MONTH OF MY SANITY. SPARE YOURSELF.

Stay far away from Monarch Moving Group. I've had a terrible experience with them and as other reviewers have stated I suspect they're a scam.. They are not a moving company they are brokers who sub-contract other moving companies. Monarch has the worst customer service I have ever dealt with in any industry. I ended up losing my $1,000 deposit to them and they did zero work ( a reputable moving company will charge a much smaller deposit). The first sub-contractor they hired had horrible reviews (Xtra Mile), they had less than 5 employees and did not meet the insurance requirements of my apartment building. They tried to scramble and find a new contractor but on 4/27/19 they could not tell me the day or time of my move which was planned to be 4/30/19. My building requires residents to reserve the freight elevator to move out. Since Monarch couldn't schedule my move, the freight elevator was not available on my move out day and I had to pay my landlord more money. Save yourself a huge headache and go with a different moving company.

I typically do not write reviews online but I feel like Monarch Moving Group deserves one! They professionally went over all of my inventory over the phone and provided a quote which was similar to the ones I had received from in home estimates. I ended up only paying $200 more than expected due to some packing I needed them to do for me. Their services were amazing and everyone I spoke to was helpful. I would use them again.
